Mitsubishi Gas Chemical introduces "KY Suggestion System" using advanced AI to five domestic factories
Cinnamon AI is providing KY (hazard prediction) suggestions to Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co., Ltd.'s five domestic factories that utilize our advanced NLP technology (natural language processing technology) to reduce accidents and work-related injuries and improve work efficiency. We are pleased to announce that we have introduced the system.
In the future, we will upgrade the ``KY Suggestion System'' and aim to expand into new business areas in the security field, with a view to applying it to risk assessment using large-scale language models.

Accident information and near misses can be centrally managed as data, allowing advance notification of problems that may occur during work.
■ Challenges
At Mitsubishi Gas Chemical's plants, many near-miss incidents are reported every month, and in addition to on-site hazard avoidance activities, the system has been effective in terms of education, such as fostering safety sensitivity. On the other hand, the utilization of near-miss reports submitted in the past was not sufficient.
■ Development of KY suggestion system
This initiative between Mitsubishi Gas Chemical and Cinnamon AI uses AI to extract "tasks" from among the tasks to be performed on the day, suggests near-miss information and accident/industrial accident information related to that task, and based on these suggested cases, KY This will be the construction of a system to carry out the activities (see the diagram above). We hope that the use of the KY Suggestion System will help prevent safety accidents, troubles, and occupational accidents.
The ``KY Suggest System'' was introduced at Mitsubishi Gas Chemical's Niigata Factory as a test factory, and the AI model, which began development in April 2020, will begin operating in a production environment in September 2021 and will be rolled out to five factories in Japan. I am. In the future, we will continue to consider expanding the functionality to further apply it to risk assessment.
■ What is Cinnamon AI’s trouble information analysis tool “Incident AI”?
With Cinnamon AI,A system has been realized in which advanced AI automatically suggests information that the user should refer to, regardless of the problems with conventional information reference systems, such as variations in input keywords or the experience level of the person referring to the information.doing. For maintenance work in factories and plants, "Incident AI" uses text information related to many accidents, such as accident reports, near misses, and operating instructions, to identify highly related accidents, their causes, countermeasures, and results. It can be used as an analysis tool for making suggestions and for searching and creating reports. Aiming to break away from maintenance work that is individualized, we aim to improve comprehensive security capabilities in the security field.
In the future, we will expand functionality with the expectation that it will be applied to risk assessment operations, provide support for users to use it more comfortably, and promote the use of LLM (Large-Scale Language Model) technology, as exemplified by the recent ChatGPT. I will continue to do so.
