Yusen Logistics and Cinnamon AI collaborate to improve logistics operations – Start developing system using AI –

Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd. (President: Kenji Mizushima, hereinafter referred to as Yusen Logistics) and Cinnamon Co., Ltd. (CEO: Mirai Hirano, hereinafter referred to as Cinnamon AI) have signed a basic agreement regarding collaboration using AI in providing solutions to improve logistics operations. We would like to inform you that the agreement has been concluded. We aim to develop a case mark verification system for air exports by utilizing Cinnamon AI's AI-OCR "Flax Scanner"⁽*⁾ technology.

1. background
There are many manual tasks performed by warehouse workers in the loading and unloading of air cargo. Amid the challenges of reforming warehouse operations, including improving operational efficiency, Yusen Logistics and Cinnamon AI will verify the applicability of AI-OCR through a demonstration experiment on verification operations at warehouses when export cargo is shipped. I've been doing it. As a result, the system was expected to have a significant operational improvement effect, and we will begin full-scale system development with the aim of putting it into practical use and expanding its introduction into the logistics industry.

2. Image of case mark matching system
When export cargo is released from the warehouse, warehouse workers at Yusen Logistics visually check the cargo information received from the customer and the case mark affixed to the cargo to verify the cargo to be shipped. By using Cinnamon AI's Flax Scanner, an AI technology, to read and match case marks during visual confirmation, we aim to reduce visual confirmation work and prevent matching errors. In addition, we hope to transform the traditional work style by reviewing the work flow from verification to attaching cargo labels, and use this collaboration as an opportunity to realize new and efficient ways of working in warehouse operations. .

3. the next deployment
First, we aim to introduce it at Yusen Logistics' Narita Logistics Center. After that, we plan to introduce it to other domestic logistics facilities and overseas facilities.
