Announcement of "Flax Scanner ordering efficiency service" using AI-OCR

Cinnamon Co., Ltd., which has one of Japan's leading artificial intelligence (hereinafter referred to as "AI") document reading engines, has announced the "Flax Scanner Order Processing Efficiency Service" that utilizes AI-OCR. We have started recruiting first version users, and this service is scheduled to be officially available from April 2019.

At Cinnamon, we have implemented demonstration experiments and actual implementation of the AI document reading engine "Flax Scanner" to more than 50 customers. In order to introduce AI, we have consulted with more than 1,000 companies regarding the introduction of AI, and we are working to improve the efficiency of general ordering operations such as purchase orders, acceptance confirmations, delivery notes, acceptance statements, and invoices. We have received a strong need to utilize AI-OCR. Against this background, starting in April 2019, we will be pre-tuning the "Flax Scanner" for ordering documents and providing it to more companies. We will start providing "Efficiency Service".

In addition, in order to successfully introduce AI, it is important to clarify the purpose and goals of AI and calculate how much efficiency will be improved, rather than simply pursuing accuracy. Specifically, while verifying accuracy through demonstration verification, we will draw up a new business flow for the work that we want to make more efficient with AI, and share within the company the economic implementation effects and post-implementation workflow for practical application. A process such as this is required. On the other hand, it was difficult for corporate personnel alone to lead these entire projects, and the help of AI experts was needed. At this time, Cinnamon will start providing an "AI Introduction Assessment Service" based on its track record of introducing AI to major domestic companies.

By utilizing the above-mentioned "AI Implementation Assessment Service" and introducing the "Flax Scanner Order Processing Efficiency Service," we will provide more feasible and effective AI implementation.
